Not only did homeschooling seem difficult and intimidating, but as a former teacher, I loved that my kids were in school. For more than two decades, I worked in schools — as a classroom teacher, after-school program teacher, volunteer, tutor, and substitute. There were growing pains, but this new version of school worked for us.
